01. Shopee to Include Fast Handover Rate in Penalty System and Adjusts Multiple Logistics Policies

Shopee has announced that starting May 2026, the Fast Handover Rate (FHR) will be incorporated into its penalty point system. Preferred sellers and others failing to meet the standard will face a weekly penalty of 1 point. The platform has also revised several logistics rules: the order cut-off time for shipping timeliness is extended to 2:00 PM, Saturdays are included as fulfillment days (with exceptions in some regions), the threshold for Late Shipment Rate is raised to 15%, and a two-tier mechanism for automatic order cancellation is clarified. These changes aim to boost order conversion and repurchase rates, supporting sellers' long-term growth. Sellers must promptly adjust their operational strategies to comply with the new regulations.

02. Shopee Revises Logistics and Fulfillment Policies for Phased 2026 Rollout

Shopee has announced adjustments to its logistics and fulfillment policies, to be implemented in phases throughout 2026. Effective May 11, the Fast Handover Rate (FHR) will be added to the penalty point system, with premium sellers scoring below 80% incurring 1 point weekly. From February 11, the order cut-off time shifts to 14:00, the Late Shipment Rate threshold increases to 15%, and auto-cancellation rules are updated accordingly. The platform will include Saturdays as fulfillment days, with special arrangements for certain areas, and will promote its Fulfillment by Shopee (FBS) service to optimize order efficiency and user experience.

03. Shopee Taiwan Merges "Home Delivery" Logistics Channels

Shopee Taiwan has announced that effective April 13, 2026, the size limit for its "Store-to-Home Delivery - Standard Parcel" service will increase to a maximum total dimension (length+width+height) of 150 cm, with a weight limit of 15 kg. Concurrently, the existing "Store-to-Home Delivery - Large Parcel" service will be merged and uniformly renamed "Store-to-Home Delivery." This service will stop accepting new orders from April 13 and cease all seller shipments from June 14. Post-consolidation, shipping fees remain unchanged, but the billing method will switch from channel-based to actual measured parcel volume. Starting March 10, the platform will notify sellers currently using only the large parcel channel and, upon consent, batch-switch their logistics channels and set product volumes. The merged service adds a parcel size limit (max 105 cm total dimension) for return shipping subsidies; parcels exceeding this will not be eligible.

04. India's Gen Z Poised to Become Primary Consumer Force

By 2030, India's Generation Z (born 1997-2012) will constitute 27% of the population, wielding a consumption power of $1.3 trillion and fundamentally reshaping the market landscape. This cohort prioritizes personal experience, sustainability, and digital convenience, driving transformation in sectors like beauty and fashion. The beauty and personal care industry is particularly prominent, with Gen Z expected to contribute $19 billion to this market. Over half of Gen Z women allocate more than 20% of their disposable income to related products. They focus more on solving specific needs than blindly following ingredients, exhibit low brand loyalty, and are enthusiastic about trying new products.
