Shopee Announces 2026 H2 N-Day Service Rotational Suspension

Shopee has released a notice on the temporary suspension of its SLS N-Day (international expedited logistics) service for the second half of 2026. Affected by Chinese and Southeast Asian holidays and force majeure events, N-Day services in the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam will be suspended on a rotational basis by city/district. In the Philippines, Zone B/C/D cities will have 5-7 day delivery suspended; Thailand covers 12 core areas including Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram, and Ayutthaya; Vietnam distinguishes between 4-day (Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Da Nang) and 5-day delivery (Haiphong, Hue, Can Tho, plus 19 provinces). Orders generated before the suspension will be delivered normally. If a seller's shop or product is only bound to N-Day, the system will automatically switch to other SLS channels in advance to ensure uninterrupted sales.

TikTok Shop Southeast Asia: Freight Subsidies & Non-Merchant Fault Payouts Settled 3 Days After Order Completion

TikTok Shop Southeast Asia has announced that platform-borne freight subsidies and non-merchant fault payouts will be settled approximately three calendar days after order completion. If an investigation is underway, settlement may be delayed. This rule complements the four-tier account period (1 to 15 days) implemented on June 9, where the new rule manages platform refunds and the previous one handles buyer payments. Sellers need to model these two payment timelines separately to prepare for cash flow scheduling and reconciliation.

Indonesia's parliament is proposing a copyright law amendment, incorporating AI into the legal framework for the first time. The draft stipulates that only AI-assisted works with substantial human input can be protected, excluding fully AI-generated content. AI training using copyrighted material must follow fair use or licensing rules, and imitating a creator's 'unique style' is prohibited. Tech platforms aggregating news or training models must pay royalties to collective management organizations, with violations risking license revocation. Google opposes the rules, arguing they harm innovation, while Meta and TikTok have not responded. The voting date is pending.
