Key Platform Policy & Logistics Updates
A significant fee adjustment is on the horizon for the Brazil marketplace. Understanding these changes is crucial for every Shopee seller to plan their 2026 strategy effectively.
Commission & FSS Adjustment Notice
To enhance service quality and boost buyer conversion, Shopee Brazil will implement the following changes effective March 1, 2026 (Local Time):
- Free Shipping Service (FSS) Becomes Standard: The FSS program will be integrated into the platform's basic services. It will transition from an optional value-added service to a standard feature for all stores, meaning all shops will enjoy FSS benefits at no extra cost.
- Revised Commission Rates: Commission rates for cross-border direct shipping and third-party warehouse stores will be adjusted. Notably, the per-item commission and transaction fee caps for third-party warehouse stores will be removed. Please refer to the official fee table (in Brazilian Real - BRL) for detailed rates.
- Seller Protection & Buyer Incentives: To support sellers during this transition and improve store conversion, Shopee will ramp up buyer incentives from February 23 to March 14, 2026. These will include platform free shipping vouchers and exclusive discounts for specific payment channels. During this period, adjusting product prices within the range of this fee adjustment will not be flagged as exaggerated or false discounting.
Important Note: The new rates apply only to orders generated on or after the effective date (March 1, 2026, local time).
