01. Shopee Malaysia Upgrades Business Assurance Program

Shopee Malaysia has upgraded its "Business Assurance" support plan, introducing tiered benefits to ease seller burdens. New stores now enjoy 60 days of zero platform fees, a doubled commission-free order cap from 100 to 200, a 50% increase in advertising credits, and commission discounts for first-time users of the FBS fulfillment service. For mature sellers, the platform has expanded essential goods categories by over 60 items, reduced commission rates by 0.5 to 9 percentage points, and launched 20% to 50% platform vouchers. These measures aim to stabilize daily fast-moving consumer goods conversion through price leverage.

02. Shopee Taiwan Bans Listed Chemicals, Fines Up to NTD 300,000

Shopee Taiwan local store has updated its prohibited items policy in line with the "Toxic and Related Chemical Substances Control Act." Sellers are now explicitly forbidden from listing regulated toxic and concerning chemicals on the e-commerce platform. Before listing, sellers must cross-check with official announcements, verify product labels, and review Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Violators face link removal, account restrictions, or termination, and can be fined between NTD 60,000 and NTD 300,000 per violation under Article 60 of the act. Cross-border sellers are advised to audit their product catalogs immediately.

03. Indonesia E-commerce License Rate Below 10%, Blibli Leads NIB Compliance

Indonesia's Ministry of Trade has disclosed that local platform Blibli has completed NIB (Business Identification Number) verification for all its sellers ahead of the enforcement of Trade Regulation No. 19/2026, making it the leading major platform in compliance. However, among Indonesia's approximately 22 million e-commerce sellers, the overall NIB holding rate remains below 10%. The new regulation holds platforms responsible for verification—new sellers without NIB cannot register, while existing sellers have an 18-month transition period, after which non-compliant accounts will be removed. NIB is free to apply via the OSS system, with zero tax for annual turnover under IDR 500 million, and it unlocks category access and financing eligibility.

04. Vietnam Cracks Down on 3,000+ IP Infringements, Seizes $5.78M in Six Months

Vietnam's National Office of Intellectual Property reported that as of June 24, 2026, agencies nationwide have investigated over 3,000 intellectual property infringement cases, issued more than 2,700 administrative fines totaling approximately $1.2 million (over VND 31.4 billion), and seized infringing goods worth nearly $4.58 million (about VND 120 billion). Over 2,000 organizations and individuals have been held accountable. The crackdown was especially aggressive in e-commerce and online channels—more than 2,000 illegal websites were shut down, covering pirated media, books, counterfeit e-commerce products, and illegal sports streaming. Over 100 criminal cases have been filed, with many under trial, driven by the Prime Minister's Directive No. 38/CD-TTg, which coordinates cross-agency enforcement among police, market regulators, customs, and cultural authorities, linking online takedowns with physical warehouse raids.
