Shopee Updates Tax Information Reporting Rules
Shopee Cross-Border has issued a supplementary notice regarding the implementation of the "Internet Platform Enterprise Tax Information Reporting Regulations," clarifying three common issues. The platform specified that commissions and service fees are invoiced by the overseas operating entity; sellers can download detailed income and expense reports from the backend as proof for corporate income tax deductions. As the regulations do not require reporting logistics cost information, data submitted by the platform excludes logistics fees paid by sellers to Shopee. Sellers can use the main account to access the "Tax Information Reporting Data Query" page in the "Shopee Cross-Border Seller Self-Service Center" to view submitted information.
Shopee Vietnam Tightens 'Return in Perfect Condition' Standards
Effective November 24, 2025, Shopee Vietnam has restricted the use of the "No longer needed, product in perfect condition" return reason exclusively to Diamond or Gold-tier Shopee members and users registered for the VIP subscription. Other users can no longer select this reason for returns. Eligible buyers must ensure the product remains in its original received state—including tags, packaging, accessories, and invoice (if any)—unused and preserving its "brand new" condition. Sellers retain the right to reject returns or file a complaint if the product condition is unsatisfactory.

The most popular platforms remain Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok.
