Shopee to Remove Non-Local Language Listings from September 28

Shopee announced that starting September 28, 2020, the platform will remove listings that use non-local languages to improve buyer browsing experience. If over 50% of words in a product description are in a non-local language, the listing will be deleted and penalty points will be issued. The first penalty points will be applied on October 5, 2020, based on data from the previous week. Cross-border sellers must ensure compliance by translating listings to local languages to avoid penalties.

Honda Plans UC3 Electric Motorcycle Production in Vietnam by September 2026

Honda Vietnam's general manager announced plans to start local production of the UC3 electric motorcycle in Vietnam as early as September 2026. The UC3, Honda's first model with a fixed lithium iron phosphate battery, offers a maximum range of 122 km and uses a two-wheel CHAdeMO charging standard with peak power of 6 kW. Previously produced in Thailand, it targets a replacement for 110cc gasoline scooters. Honda plans to deploy charging stations at major city dealerships by June 2026, aiming to secure its 10% market share amid Vietnam's accelerating electrification.

Indonesia BPOM Seizes 14 Cosmetics with Banned Ingredients, Orders Production Halt

Indonesia's Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) published Q2 2026 cosmetic supervision results, finding 14 products containing banned substances like retinoic acid, hydroquinone, mercury, and red K10 dye, posing cancer and kidney damage risks. Of these, 11 are local products, 1 is imported, and 2 lack distribution permits. BPOM has revoked their distribution licenses and ordered a halt to production, distribution, and import. Under Indonesia's Health Law, violators face up to 12 years imprisonment or fines of IDR 5 billion.
