2026.08.26 Shopee Indonesia XTRA Free Shipping Fee Effective December 1

Shopee Indonesia Updates XTRA Free Shipping Fees from December 1
Shopee Indonesia’s local store has released a new rate card for its optional XTRA free shipping program. The rates take effect on December 1, 2026 for non-Mall sellers and extend to Mall sellers on January 1, 2027. Fees are tiered by product category A to H: regular-sized items under 5 kg are charged 1.50%–11.00% per item, capped at 60,000 IDR; special-sized items weighing 5 kg or more are charged 3.50%–13.00%, capped at 80,000 IDR. Participation remains voluntary, and only enrolled sellers pay the deduction. However, sellers who opt in must factor the category rate and per-item cap into their pricing and profit calculations, or the exposure from free shipping tools could erode margins.
Shopee Philippines Adjusts Shipping Days for Payday and 9.9 Campaigns
Ahead of the 8.30 payday, 9.9 double-day, and 9.15 payday sales, Shopee Philippines has adjusted its preparation and shipping deadlines. The new schedule applies different dispatch cutoffs depending on the order verification date and whether orders are confirmed before or after 2:00 PM. For example, orders placed on August 19 with verification before 2:00 PM carry that day’s shipping deadline, while those confirmed later are due the next day. For August 21 orders, the deadlines fall on August 22 and 23, respectively. Sellers are advised to check the updated reservation and shipping cutoff dates in the seller backend under “Order Verification Date” to ensure smooth fulfillment during the back-to-back campaign period.
Thailand Competition Watchdog Accelerates Cases Against E-Commerce Platforms
Thailand’s Trade Competition Commission (TCCT) has received 21 complaints against Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop since publishing its E-Commerce Platform Guidelines in March, and is now moving to expedite rulings, with some cases expected to be decided within three months. Regulators are targeting five unfair practices: forcing sellers into promotions, continuously raising commissions and advertising fees, mandating designated logistics partners, closing stores without reasonable cause, and using platform rules to create competitive barriers. Small and medium sellers report being pressured into subsidizing campaigns through traffic demotion, while transaction fees and ad deductions further squeeze profits. Cross-border sellers should review platform terms, fee structures, and dispute channels closely as regulatory scrutiny intensifies across the region.

To support its expansion, Wanglaoji signed three strategic cooperation agreements in Singapore with Nanyang Technological University, Baosteel Packaging, and Seng Seng Food, covering brand and market research, supply chain security, and end-market networks. The move signals stronger Southeast Asian supply chain integration and could shape competitive dynamics in regional beverage distribution.
